Rating: 4 out of 5.

This is a wonderful Regency romance with plenty of warmth and heart. Viola, the MC, is the governess to an incorrigible fourteen old girl, Felicity, who is a delightful and refreshing character. Her antics, particularly when she and Hunt’s sister Isabell scheme to get Viola and Hunt together, are a hoot. They add much levity and laughter to the story. Viola has been in love with the Duke of Huntington, Hunt, since the moment she saw him. But she knows her place in society and silently loves him from afar. Viola is smart, capable and loving. Her relationship with Felicity is warm, loving, but firm.

Hunt has suffered an embarrassing setback when his proposal last year was summarily dismissed. He’s gone to the country to lick his wounds when he observes Viola and Felicity on his property. Felicity suffered a sprained ankle after tumbling down a hill. Hunt invites the two to recover at his home, and delights in his interactions with Viola. The more he gets to know her the more his is intrigued. Hunt is kind, giving and treats his family, Viola and Felicity with warm affection. He makes a wonderful leading man. The sparks between Hunt and Viola fly off the page. They eventually act on their passions at the very end of the book, leading to their HEA.
