This is a sweet and spicy novella romance between Harry and Darius, two teachers at the same school. Harry agrees to chaperone the boy’s hockey team on a road trip even though he knows nothing about hockey and the gym teacher, Darius, has teased him relentlessly for the last 4 years. But, road trips have a way of lessening inhibitions and when the only room left at the hotel for Darius and Harry has one bed, Harry discovers that not only is Darius not straight (much to Harry’s dismay), but he’s attracted to Harry. Wow, what a wild ride! What did I just read? I requested this book because of these two lines in the book blurb:

I was intrigued, but had no idea how crazy good this book would be. I couldn’t put it down and literally read it in one sitting, and then went straight to Kindle Unlimited and downloaded the second book in the series My Blade, Your Back and read that book in less than 24 hours. So. Freaking. Good.

All the Little Houses by May Cobb

This book is a trip! It’s written by the author of The Hunting Wives and is so, so messy. The characters are absolutely despicable – it’s total popcorn fun! I especially liked it because it was set in the 1980s.

The book is told from the prospective of four main characters – Charleigh, Nellie, Jane, and Jackson.

I really enjoyed this Victorian era historical fiction mystery series and love how the author continues to keep stories fresh and interesting even after 15 books. The book features two private enquiry agents, Barker and Llewelyn, and is set mostly in the East End of London. It comprises mainly working class and immigrants and has a lot of poverty and crime.
