This is a cute, light and fluffy first book in a new YA SciFi series.

Adam is an android that escaped from a biological company and settled down in a nearby town called Ashwater. He’s an android/human hybrid, with a computer processor for a brain, as well as a host of weaponry he can use to eliminate threats. But, he is also just an 18 year old boy that is hungry all the time, likes to play video games and dance, and just got a crush on a girl named Evie.

The Bright and Breaking Sea by Chloe Neill

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I really enjoyed this first book in a new fantasy series. It’s a quick and easy read, and there is plenty of action, magic, fighting, fast ships and has just a hint of romance.

The Camelot Betrayal (Camelot Rising #2) by Kiersten White

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This is the second book in the exciting YA Fantasy series and it does not disappoint. The book delves deeper into Guinevere’s role in Camelot. To complicate matters, the real Guinevere’s younger sister shows up in Camelot and refuses to leave.

This is a cute, sweet modern romance involving a foreign Prince that needs money to save the royal family and an American heiress that needs to get married to get her inheritance.

This is a very good, exciting YA Paranormal Fantasy book. It’s fast-paced, with interesting characters and a good storyline.

Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M. Danforth

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Huh. I’m not quite sure what I just read. It was a mash-up of several genres, including gothic, horror, mystery, LGBTQ romance and historical fiction. This is a unique book that won’t be for everyone.

House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City #1) by Sarah J. Maas

4.5 stars

This is a fantastic fantasy book. Even though it is over 800 pages, it’s such an easy, engaging read that the pages flew by.

The Midnight Bargain by C.L. Polk

This is another good fantasy novel from the author. The great thing is that this is a stand alone, which is rare to find in fantasy books.
