This is an adorable Young Adult enemies-to-lovers contemporary romance involving high school students River and Sarang. River is lost and doesn’t know why. In one day he dumps his GF, walks out of the SATs, quits his job at the family-owned coffee shop, and takes a job at a rival coffee shop where is new enemy Sarang works. He knows he must do these things but can’t figure out the real reason why.

This is a good YA dark academia book that pits four teenagers against each other to become the heir to the King’s throne. Three of them are the royal grandchildren of the King who were sent away & raised by guardians out of the public eye. The fourth is a teenager that won a scholarship to the elite academy they are all sent to that is infamous for breeding the world’s next generation of leaders – and liars.

Perfect Girl by Tracy Banghart

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This is a YA thriller with plenty of twists and jump scares to get your blood pumping. The author does a great job setting up a dark, creepy setting that will keep you holding your breath and jumping at every new twist. The night started off-kilter with the tension between the friends and just got worse after that. There are plenty of icky characters to dislike, which always makes a book fun. Who doesn’t love hoping the icky person gets their comeuppance?

The Bitter End by Alexa Donne

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This was a fun and twisty YA mystery/thriller that is a quick and easy read. Eight students from LA’s elite Warner Prep are on their Senior Excursion. It’s supposed to be five days of Instagrammable adventure in one of the world’s most exclusive locations. But, at the last minute, each of the students is pulled from their original excursion and assigned to a new one set high in the mountains. It’s explained the excursion will be a digital detox in an isolated Colorado ski chalet.(insert eerie music here)

A Vile Season by Davide Ferraro

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I devoured this YA Historical Romance book in one day. It was such a fun read, with vampires, angry villagers, vampire hunters, dukes, court intrigue and revenge. The main character, Count Lucian, has been a vampire for centuries. He’s gotten comfortable living in a remote old castle with his servants and protege. But, all good things come to an end and he’s chased out of his castle by a group of vampire hunters.

At the End of the River Styx by Michelle Kulwicki

Book Tour:

I’m happy to be a part of TBR Beyond Tours book tour for the new YA Fantasy At the End of the River Styx by Michelle Kulwicki that came out on Sept. 24, 2024.

I just started reading this book and I’m already hooked. I love the two main characters and can relate to their feelings of guilt and shame. The book is beautifully written and I can’t wait to see what happens. I’ll write a full review once I’ve finished the book.
