Somewhere You Belong (Carrington Cove #1) by Harlow James

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This book is a sweet and spicy contemporary romance that will have you swooning over a new book boyfriend.

I really enjoyed this book. The chemistry between Willow and Dallas, first in the form of bickering and then in the former of teasing, was palpable. Their easy banter and sexy flirting was adorable. Who knew there was such a thing as manners kink? Willow is determined and uptight, Dallas is caring but cautious. Both are grumpy in their own way. Both have not had a relationship in a long time, but are jolted awake by the other. I like how they both lie to themselves that they aren’t drawn to the other.

The Fake Out Flex (Hockeymances #1) by Ash Kelly

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This sweet, witty, closed-door pro hockey sports romance gave me all the feels. It’s hard to believe it’s the author’s debut because it’s so well written. It has some of my favorite tropes and was a delight to read. If you like Pro hockey sports romance, Fake dating, Brother’s best friend, High school crush, Boy obsessed, Cozy small town feels, Chosen family, and Closed door romance tropes, you’ll love it too.

Icon and Inferno (Stars and Smoke #2) by Marie Lu

This was a fun YA Mystery/Romance. I didn’t realize this was book 2 of a series, but this book is a stand alone mystery so I didn’t feel too lost.

This is a cozy mystery with colorful characters, plenty of twists, and a quirky English village as a backdrop. Former comic Juno has returned to England to care for her elderly mother who is engaged to a smarmy man who may or may not be a wife-killer. This was a fun YA book about a former heiress taking revenge on the father that kicked her and her mother out of their mansion with nothing after the divorce. Barely scraping by, and with mounting medical bills piling up, Olivia spends months enlisting fellow high schoolers to enact the perfect plan of vengeance. Even better, it all takes place during her father’s third wedding. What could possibly go wrong?
