3.5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It’s a quick and easy read, with short chapters that suck you in and make you want to keep reading late into the night. The author does a great job of weaving seemingly disconnected storylines into one central story that has a satisfying ending.

Pieces and Parts (A Storyhill Musicians Novel) by Annmarie Boyle

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This is a sweet, funny, warm and fluffy contemporary romance about a single dad and traveling musician and the woman he hires to teach and care for his 8 year old son that wants to go on tour with him. This is book four of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I haven’t read any of the previous books but found enough background in the story to not feel lost. That said, I enjoyed this book so much I’ll be going back and reading the first three.

There she drowns her sorrows in cabernet and makes plans to start a new business. She is smart, capable, and knows her own mind. I liked her ability to own her mistakes, but not let them define her.
