If You Claim Me (Toronto Terror, #5) by Helena Hunting

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I love the Toronto Terror book series and the found family it’s created. This is book 5 in the series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Mildred (Dred to her friends) is so strong I instantly loved her. She has a lot of past trauma but she actively works to not let it affect her life. Connor is so broken and misunderstood my heart melted every time someone put him down and he had to act like it didn’t affect him. Being a grumpy jerk is his defense mechanism, but his mask slips when he’s with Dred. I loved that she saw right through his act to the man beneath and gave him comfort and support.

This is a cute hockey second chance rom com. Gemma is an author and wrote a romance featuring a jerk based on her first crush. He just happens to be bad boy NHL player Mason. Pucking Only (Night Hawks Hockey Series Book 2) by Katie Strong

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Apparently I am in my hockey sports romance era, because that seems to be all I’m reading lately – and I’m not mad at it. Of course, it helps that I seem to be signing up for a lot of hockey romance book tours….but I digress.

This book is great. It has all the fun tropes I love – enemies-to-lovers, best friend’s brother, hockey, steamy scenes, tight white t-shirts and GREY SWEATPANTS. I mean, seriously? What more do I need to say?

The Fake Out Flex (Hockeymances #1) by Ash Kelly

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This sweet, witty, closed-door pro hockey sports romance gave me all the feels. It’s hard to believe it’s the author’s debut because it’s so well written. It has some of my favorite tropes and was a delight to read. If you like Pro hockey sports romance, Fake dating, Brother’s best friend, High school crush, Boy obsessed, Cozy small town feels, Chosen family, and Closed door romance tropes, you’ll love it too.
