Ugh. I don’t even know where to start with this book. It was touted as a funny commentary on social media and our obsessiveness with staying in constant contact with everyone. But to me it read more like a couple of teenagers constantly yammering in a stream of consciousness mess. I tried very hard to finish the book, but had to stop after 100 pages. It was just too annoying.
In the near future couples can undergo a brain procedure that allegedly allows them to have a stronger emotional connection to each other. Briddy is excited when her boyfriend Trent wants to undergo the procedure before they get married. But, when Briddy has the procedure and discovers she is connected to a colleague instead of her boyfriend, things go very wrong. The concept could have been interesting, but instead is an annoying, frantic story that I could not make myself finish.

Once again, I’ve attempted to read this book so you don’t have to. You’re welcome.
