Let me first say that I loved Marie Lu’s Legend and Warcross book series. I’ve met her several times at San Diego Comic Con and she’s a total sweetheart. So it pains me to say this. Seriously. But I did not enjoy this YA Historical Fiction about the sister of Wolfgang Mozart.

I really like Historical Fiction books too, just not this one. The book is well-written, but it just didn’t click with me. I can’t even put my finger on what I didn’t like, but it felt like a chore to read. I normally write pretty thorough reviews, but I can’t muster the energy to write one here. Try it for yourself. Maybe you will like it. It just wasn’t for me.

I will say that I’m super excited about her new book Skyhunter, which comes out in September. It sounds great and I can’t wait to read it.
