Bradley and Celine used to be best friends when they were younger, until Bradley got popular as they grew older and a misunderstanding blew them apart. They are both smart, high achieving academics, but can’t stand to be in the same room together. So imagine their surprise when they are thrown together and must work together for a chance to win a scholarship.

Bradley and Celine both have personal issues they are contending with, as well as lots of unresolved issues between themselves. One of my least favorite tropes is miscommunication, and it is all over this book. I also liked and disliked both MCs at different times in the book. I just couldn’t get into the story and it felt like it went on and on and on.

I loved the author’s Brown Sisters series and devoured every book, but this one was a miss for me. The writing was good, the story and characters just didn’t resonate with me. But that’s just my opinion, definitely check it out for yourself and make your own decision.
