This is a great romantic suspense with a superhot new book boyfriend you’ll want for your very own. Miles is smart, capable, hot and possessive. He is a fixer that makes the worse problems of the rich and powerful disappear. He goes through life with no emotion and no attachments – or so he likes to tell himself. His one weakness is Clara, his bluebird. They’ve been frenemies since kids and she’s a modern-day Robin Hood thief that steals back ill-gotten art and jewels and returns them to their rightful owners. She’s uncatchable, until she isn’t. Now she’s crossed the wrong maniac and he’s determined to make her pay. Slowly and painfully.

I loved the chemistry between Miles and Clara. Their interactions, pranks and heat sizzles off the pages. Miles fools himself that he’s only interested in stopping Clara’s love life because he promised her adoptive father he’d look out for her, but he’s kidding himself. For her part, Clara has loved Miles since she was a little girl, but has resigned herself that she will never break through his walls. But once she finds herself in serious danger, she finally starts to see cracks in his façade. This is a steamy, slow burn romantic suspense with lots of hot, dangerous, capable men willing and eager to help Miles protect Clara. There’s definitely plenty of good guy heroes to lust after, and I’m all there for it.
