Rating: 4 out of 5.

This is the second book in the Rough and Ready book series but can be read as a stand-alone. I haven’t read the first book, but there is enough backstory that I didn’t feel lost.

This book was a delight to read. I found myself smiling, laughing, and sighing the entire time. Andrew is the PERFECT book boyfriend. Hot, supportive, thoughtful, sweet, hot, great banter… did I mention hot? The instant spark between Andrew and Zoe jumped off the page. You could see it with every smile and glance between the pair. Andrew supported and encouraged Zoe to follow her dreams and the thoughtful gestures he makes to let Zoe know the depth of his feelings was completely swoon-worthy.

The texts between Andrew and his brothers and parents were hilarious, and the names he gives his family and friends in his phone was so clever. Those relationships added a lot of depth and feelings to the story. The group of family and friends they form throughout the book would make anyone yearn to move to the small town of Rough and Ready. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. If it’s about the person I think it is, it’s going to be one heck of a tale.
