This is a sweet sports romance between Corie and her brother Landry’s best friend Knox. Landry and Knox are professional football players and have several fellow players in their small friendship group. When Corie returns home from college, she and her best friend Sloane are welcomed into the group.

Corie crushed hard on Knox when she was younger, but never thought he’d ever return her feelings. The first time Knox saw Corie after she returned he was shocked he was so attracted to her. Even knowing that Landy made it crystal clear that Corie was off-limits, and it’s not a cool best bro move to make anyway, he can’t stop thinking about her. The more he gets to know her, the more his attraction grows. Before long they give in to their feelings and begin sneaking around and seeing each other in secret.

Corie is struggling to find her first job after graduating college. Despite Landry’s offer to support her, she’s determined to stand on her own two feet. Her best friend Sloane is every girl’s dream of a best friend. Unwaveringly loyal and thoughtful, she always has Corie’s back and is not above scheming to get Corie her happily ever after. Knox is the perfect book boyfriend. He’s thoughtful, protective, loyal, supportive, and always puts Corie first. He’s willing to throw caution to the wind and announce they are together, but let’s Corie lead the way and determine when to they tell everyone about their relationship.

The best part about the couple was that they talked with each other and resolved issues like adults. The book didn’t have a lot of angst, conflicts, or my least favorite trope, miscommunication. In fact, it’s probably the sweetest love story I’ve read in a long time. Corie and Knox are very earnest, and determined to make their relationship work. The ending is wonderful and I love the dual POV epilogues.

I received a complimentary e-copy of this book from Grey’s Promotions. All opinions are my own.
