Her Last Flight by Beatriz Williams

Rating: 3 out of 5.

This was our September book club choice. This is a slow, quiet story about a young woman’s search to write the biography of forgotten aviation pioneer Sam Mallory, who joined the loyalist forces in the Spanish Civil War and never returned.

The Silvered Serpents (The Gilded Wolves #2) by Roshani Chokshi

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This was a fantastic second book in this YAFantasy series. This book definitely does not suffer from the notorious “second book slump” and there is little to no “filler” that is typically stuffed into second books.

A Beautifully Foolish Endeaver (The Carls #2) by Hank Green

Rating: 3 out of 5.

I loved the first book and was very excited when the sequel came out, but this one was not as captivating. It’s well-written but it didn’t grab my attention as much as the first book and I didn’t like the story as much.
