This is a pretty good mystery/thriller that is a quick and easy read. When Chloe was 12 years old six young girls went missing in her small Louisiana town. Chloe’s father was ultimately arrested for the crime and sentenced to prison. Twenty years later Chloe is a psychologist in private practice in Baton Rouge and engaged to get married.

This is a fun, fast-paced contemporary mystery/thriller set during a 10 year college reunion at Duquette University. Jessica Miller has been planning her triumphant return to college after the death of her roommate Heather during her senior year. This is a pretty good mystery/thriller set in a tiny village in northern England. Kate Shaw’s husband Michael stepped in front of a lorry after being questioned by police in the disappearance of a young mother that lived on the estate he managed. To the outside world, it appears Michael committed suicide rather than be caught for the crime. But Kate knows her husband and doesn’t believe he’s done anything wrong.

This is a good historical fiction mystery thriller set in 1979 Scotland. Allie Burns is an investigative journalist at a newspaper in Glasgow, Scotland. She’s living in a “man’s world” and struggles to make her way and write the kind of stories she wants to write. Allie teams up with a co-worker to follow the trail of an illegal tax evasion scheme. From there the story escalates to much bigger issues that could cost Allie her life.

This contemporary mystery/thriller intrigued me at the beginning, but sadly evolved into a hot mess that I had trouble finishing. It’s a beautiful Valentine’s Day in London. On Hampstead Heath people are enjoying the day until an aggressive argument between a man and woman turns into a murder/suicide. Five strangers that saw the incident and tried to intervene are forever bound by witnessing the violent act.

This is another good book in this K-9 Mystery series. Just when Deputy Mattie is poised to question the man she thinks murdered her father, he’s discovered dead in his jail cell. Mattie finds a map of Timber Creek in his cell marked with Xs in several spots on the mountains. She and San Diego cold case detective Jim Hauck head back to Timber Creek to investigate.

This is a soapy contemporary mystery/thriller set in an exclusive, wealthy neighborhood in the Bay Area. Mystery writer Brooke is married to Jack, her older billionaire tech mogul husband. He is overly protective of Brooke and very private. Brooke is very submissive and pretty much does everything Jack tells her to do to keep up appearances of their “perfect” marriage.
