This is a thoroughly enjoyable YA mystery/thriller/romance book. It’s creative and a lot of fun to read.

This is an ok mystery set in Australia. The story moves slowly and there are irrelevant storylines that detract from the main mystery. This is the third book in the series, but it’s a stand alone mystery so you can read this book without having read the other two.

Ugh. This book was really hard to read and I was so glad when I finished. It’s a depressing mystery/thriller about a dysfunctional family of selfish, narcissistic people. None of the characters had any redeeming qualities.

Walking through the city after dinner, Armand’s godfather, the billionaire Stephen Horowitz, is intentionally run down in the street and critical injured. And so, the mystery begins.

Huh. I’m not quite sure what I just read. It was a mash-up of several genres, including gothic, horror, mystery, LGBTQ romance and historical fiction. This is a unique book that won’t be for everyone.

This is another wonderful book by one of my favorite authors. Backman carefully crafts a story that at first seems random, but slowly the people and events weave together into one beautiful tapestry.

This is a good Mystery set in small village in snowy Northumberland. DI Vera Stanhope sets off for home, but gets lost in a blizzard. She comes across a car abandoned at the side of the road with the door open. Upon inspection she finds a baby strapped into a car seat in the back seat.

This is a good mystery/thriller set in the years just before WWII. In this book Elena is sent to Northern Italy on her first MI6 mission to rescue a contact that has important information regarding future plans of Nazi Germany. His handler is missing and MI6 needs to get the information, and rescue their contact if possible. Elena is the only one person that can recognize him – because he’s her former lover Aiden Strother, the man that betrayed her, ruined her reputation, and brought shame on her family.
