Ugh. I just don’t know what to say. I really liked the author’s previous book series Legend, but just haven’t been able to get into this series at all. It’s not the writing, it’s just the story. It’s just too dark and isn’t interesting. I really don’t like the main character Adelina. She wasn’t very likable to begin with, and the decline she took at the end of book one and all through book two made her even more unlikeable. In this book she is so angry, vengeful, and full of hate that it’s not even fun to dislike her. I didn’t connect with the storyline, most of the book was inside Adelina’s paranoid mind and I just couldn’t get into it. The only think I can say positive about this book and series, is that it’s done and we don’t have to read anymore.

I really hope this author writes another series and makes it more along the lines of the Legend series. I will read that.
