Another great Amos Decker novel. This time Amos and his partner Alex are visiting Alex’s sister in a small, dying town called Baronville. Her sister moved there because her husband got a job in the new fulfillment center in town. The town’s economy is crumbling and it has a rampant opioid addiction problem.

When Amos and Alex find themselves in the middle of a multiple murder investigation in town, they have no idea how deep the town’s troubles go. When bodies continue to pile up, Amos finds himself in danger and embroiled in a much larger investigation than he ever suspected.

This I another fast-paced thriller with plenty of twists and turns.
