This is another good book in the Atlee Pine series. There is plenty of action, intrigue and danger. The book is a quick, easy read and a solid mystery.

In this book, Atlee continues the search for her sister. It takes her to New Jersey where she hopes to find the man who kidnapped Atlee’s sister and injured her. Her journey takes her straight into the middle of John Puller’s drug investigation at a nearby military base. The duo join forces and discover that not only are their investigations connected, their case involve a worldwide scheme that jeopardizes the fabric of global democracy.

This book hits the ground running and doesn’t let up. Atlee is more determined than ever, and gets some of the answers she’s been looking for, but as always, more questions emerge as well. I liked Atlee and John working together, but some of the action is a bit far fetched, as is the global conspiracy. But, it’s all fun escapism so who cares, right?

I’m ready for Atlee’s search for her sister to be over, so hopefully the next book will wrap that storyline up and she can get back to Arizona and her regular job. Overall, this is another enjoyable book in the series and I look forward to reading the next one.
