This was a charming book that answers every book lover’s question – what would you do if your favorite book boyfriend comes to life and plops down in the middle of your life? That’s exactly what happens to struggling romance writer Zoe, and she is not prepared for the chaos Mr. Darcy causes. After getting into a tiff with Nick, a grumpy independent book store owner, about romance books, she discovers a dusty copy of Pride & Prejudice and runs off with it. Imagine her surprise when she opens the book on the bus and Mr. Darcy appears in his finest clothes. They are both stunned, and have no idea what is happening. Even crazier things happen later in the book which really put a smile on my face and it was a fun ride to the end.

Reading about Mr. Darcy discovering the wonders of the modern world was so cute. His excitement on taking a shower and his delight about tv made me smile. Even as he adjusts to modern life, he doesn’t abandon his gentlemanly manners or the way he talks. That makes Zoe’s heart beat faster and makes it harder for her to send him back into his book. The book takes a really fun turn in the middle and I loved every part of it. I don’t want to say too much so that it’s all a surprise. The book slowed down a bit in the middle, but it still kept my interest. The book is a cute, fluffy read that Austen lovers will enjoy.

I received a complimentary e-copy of this book from NetGalley and Sourcebooks Landmark. All opinions are my own.
