I loved the first book and was very excited when the sequel came out, but this one was not as captivating. It’s well-written but it didn’t grab my attention as much as the first book and I didn’t like the story as much.

Once again we are treated with an exciting, action-packed book about the struggle of Elsira and Lagrimar, two nations that have been at war for centuries. This is a fun YA fantasy book that is marketed as being “inspired” by the movie The Lost Boys. It’s a quick and easy read, however the book follows much too closely the the movie and doesn’t contain many original concepts.
