Her sister moved there because her husband got a job in the new fulfillment center in town. The town’s economy is crumbling and it has a rampant opioid addiction problem. This was a good, quick read. It has plenty of twists and turns and is an interesting story. Emily meets Adam and thinks he’s the perfect man. Soon after they meet they plunge head-long into a serious relationship. After only a few months they’ve moved in together. Everything is perfect – except Adam’s mother Pammie. Holy.Cow. Now that’s what I call a sequel!! This is the second book in the 4MK Thriller book series and it does not disappoint. If you haven’t read the first book The Fourth Monkey you need to read it now so that you’re ready when this book comes out in July. This is another good Elvis Cole and Joe Pike novel. Elvis is hired by a single mother to look into cash and jewelry that her teenage son Tyson has in his possession. She suspects that he’s dealing drugs and wants Elvis to intervene. Elvis thinks the case will be easy and only take a couple hours to resolve. What he discovers is that Tyson has two partners and is responsible for a string of high-profile, high-end burglaries. This was a fun, fluffy, quick cozy mystery read. This is the third book in the series. I haven’t read the other books in the series, but there was enough backstory in the book so that I didn’t feel too lost. Maddie Kosloski runs a paranormal museum in the small town of San Benedetto. Normally her museum is the number one tourist attraction in town. Every Christmas, however, the town puts up a 30 foot straw cow and puts it in the town square – and every year someone sets it on fire.
