Just Playing for Keeps (Hockey Ever After #2) by Lauren Blakely

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This book was so adorable!! Blakely has a talent for giving us characters that can be spunky and strong, and yet have vulnerabilities you can relate to. Remy was all of those things, and more. Lake was the perfect gruff, grumpy, and protective book boyfriend that always melts your heart. Fake dating is my favorite trope and this couple was so cute as they managed faking their relationship with everyone with the real feelings that were developing. I love a book that is funny and has witty banter and Blakely never disappoints. I was laughing and smiling throughout the book.

I’ve Got a Crush on You (Darling Springs, 2) by Lauren Blakely

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I loved this book!! The author does a great job developing relatable characters that you want to root for and Chloe is wonderful! She is sweet, thoughtful, determined, and knows what she wants.

Sawyer is the perfect closed off grump that is tied to his routines and schedules. Chloe is impulsive and goes with the flow. They couldn’t be more opposite, or more right for each other. The sparks between the couple is so hot! The teasing and banter is off the charts.

Falling Into You (Colburn Brothers #3) by Jill Shalvis

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I love visiting the Colburn Brothers once again and watching Tucker finally fall in love! This is book 3 in the series but can be read as a standalone. Tucker and Hazel were a thing in high school until she left town at 18 and Tucker failed to go with her. Hazel is back in town temporarily to help her estranged dad who suffered a heart attack. Once he’s settled, she’s out.

Winner Takes All by Emily Martin

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This was such a cute, fun romcom that I devoured in one sitting. Talent scout Eleanor is in Las Vegas trying to sign a popular alt-rock group to her record label. She needs it to save her job. Unfortunately, Adam shows up also intending to sign the band. He’s her arch rival and former colleague who recently poached the top performing artist from Eleanor’s roster. When the band decides to party after dinner there is no way Eleanor is going to let the band go with only Adam. Skip to Eleanor and Adam waking up in bed together wearing wedding bands. Uh oh!!

The Shippers by Katherine Center

Rating: 3 out of 5.

The author is fantastic at writing banter between characters and she did not disappoint in this book. Jo Jo and Cooper’s relationship was so entertaining. They were able to be their authentic self with each other, warts and all, and it reminded me of my bestie and I.

Kace (Pittsburgh Titans #20) by Sawyer Bennett

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I love this book series and the author has done a fantastic job building a wonderful, supportive, and loving found family amongst the players and their wives and girlfriends. In this book it’s goalie Kace’s time to fall in love. His teammates don’t know it, but Kace is a genius in applied physics and his “side hustle” is working as researcher “William” for Dr. Laurel Kent, a fellow scientist at a university. They’ve never met, but work very well together and respect each other’s skills. They’ve formed a fun and flirty relationship and Kace wants nothing more than to take it to the next level, but Laurel made it very clear that she’d never date another athlete. So, when an opportunity arises for him to meet her, he decides he’ll try to date her as Kace and see if he can win her over, and if so, he’ll tell her about his William persona.

Mistakes Were Made (Story Lake, #2) by Lucy Score

Rating: 4 out of 5.

4.5 stars

I love this book series and reading how Zoey and Gage find their HEA was so fun. Zoey is broke and needs to hang on until her BFF and only client Hazel’s new book comes out. Until then, she hunkers down in Story Lake and tries not to go crazy. Ever since his brother’s engagement, Gage has not stopped thinking about finding the perfect wife to start the perfect family and life together. Zoey is pure chaos and Gage is as steady as they come. They could not be more opposite and are looking for completely different things, but sparks fly whenever they get close to each other and it’s hard to ignore.

Fire Line (The Griffith Brothers, #3) by Maggie C. Gates

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I love this book series and am so sad to see it end, but I’ve had a great time seeing the Griffith brothers fall in love and find their soulmates. This time, it’s the last single brother CJ’s turn to meet his spitfire of a woman and fall in love. CJ meets Lennon in a bar where they have a steamy one-time encounter and never expect to see each other again. That doesn’t stop them from thinking back at their time together on more than one occasion. So, when CJ is introduced to Lennon as the executive chef of the restaurant at the lodge built on their land that he despises, he explodes with resentment.
