Holy.Cow. Now that’s what I call a sequel!! This is the second book in the 4MK Thriller book series and it does not disappoint. If you haven’t read the first book The Fourth Monkey you need to read it now so that you’re ready when this book comes out in July. This is a really, really good book. Despite the page length, it’s a very quick read. The book keeps your attention and you won’t want to put it down. The writing style is conversational and you feel as if you’re a fly on the wall listening to the characters talking. This is another good Elvis Cole and Joe Pike novel. Elvis is hired by a single mother to look into cash and jewelry that her teenage son Tyson has in his possession. She suspects that he’s dealing drugs and wants Elvis to intervene. Elvis thinks the case will be easy and only take a couple hours to resolve. What he discovers is that Tyson has two partners and is responsible for a string of high-profile, high-end burglaries. During all of their missions, Will Robie and Jessica Reel had one constant – Blue Man. So when they both come back from dangerous missions and are told that he is missing, they immediately take action to find him. Their search takes them to his small hometown in rural Colorado. The area is known for it’s beautiful outdoors with plenty of hunting and fishing, as well as several fringe anti-government groups. As Will and Jessica begin to dig into the mystery of Blue Man’s disappearance, they come into contact with several of these groups and once again put their lives in danger for their country. I really liked this book and had a hard time putting it down. While some people have said that the story is slow, I didn’t find it that way. I think it is well-paced, with plenty of action. I loved this book. It’s both heartbreaking and hopeful. It draws you in and you won’t want to put the book down.

This book had an interesting premise, but ultimately I didn’t find it enjoyable. It’s set in a graveyard the night that Lincoln’s young son Willie is buried. The story takes place in one night and is a series of conversations between ghosts that are trying to encourage Willie to “move on” from the graveyard. This is a nice, quiet book that is an easy read. Hannah fled her small hometown for London after school. She married a successful and wealthy lawyer, had a daughter, and lived a sophisticated life. Years later when she discovers he’s being unfaithful, she packs her daughter up and moves back to her small hometown in Ireland.
